Our boat was built at Mirfield, about 25 kilometers (16 miles) from Leeds in West Yorkshire, and the first five weeks of life aboard Endellion were spent in this town. In England we travelled from Mirfield to Newark-on-Trent (Nottinghamshire) where we lifted the boat to take it to Shepperton, near London. We needed to be in London before Christmas otherwise we had no dates locked in, we just wanted to explore the English waterways as much as we could given the approaching winter - we had a fantastic time (links below). We have now completed the third stage of our 2008/2009 journeys and are working on 2010/2011.

In late April , we lifted Endellion again and put her on a lorry (or truck) to take her to a marina in Belgium to travel south through the battlefields of World War One and then into France. The first European stage, through Flanders and on to France is taking longer than originally planned as we work to iron out problems with our steering, while enjoying the friendship and help of so many wonderful Belgians
